Glittering Snowscape Fade Set - Hyberknits KAL 2023
A Bona fade/gradient set produced for the Westknits Hyberknitalong 2023.
The pattern is called ‘Glittering Snowscape’, and the name was my launching pad. A snowy-white beginning, with some subtle speckling, in skein 1, and finishing with some deep aurora borealic realness in skein 5 - neon flashes in greens, glues and purples, with some darker greys and blues.
The example I knit was done so with the first batch of dyeing. As with any hand dyed yarns, batches vary, so your shawl may look a little different to mine.
Dyed on ‘Soxy Sock’: A 4-ply sock weight yarn, 75/25% superwash merino/nylon. Mulesing-free. Incredibly soft and with a wonderful lustre. 100g = 425m/462yds.
My yarns are dyed in my studio in London, using professional acid dyes and professional techniques.
My home and studio are smokeless and pet-free.
As with any hand dyed yarn, hand washing in cold water is recommended. Whilst I do my best to ensure there is minimal, if any, bleeding, I can't make a 100% guarantee that my more saturated colours will not bleed a tiny bit.
